Log Cabin Information

Log Cabin check in Information

Check-in Time: Between 3.00pm and 7.00pm.
Check-Out Time: 10 am

Check-in and out can be done inside the hotel clubhouse. If reception is closed please make your way to the bar area where a member of the team will be able to help you. If you are due later than 7.00pm then please let us know and we’ll arrange to leave a key in your lodge.

On check out please ensure all used kitchen items have been washed and put away, or the dishwasher has been loaded and put on. We do a full inventory check on departure and any missing items or breakages may be liable for charges.

Parking

On-site parking is provided free of charge to all guests. There is one space available outside of each cabin, but if you are arriving in more than one car please park additional cards in the main car park. Vehicles are all parked at their own risk.

Access to the log cabins

To access lodges 1 - 12, take the road that passes down the left hand side of the building as you face the main clubhouse. For lodges 13-25, take the road that passes down the right hand side of the main building and follow the path until it verges right past the large green outer building. There is a 5mph speed limit through the complex. As you approach your designated log cabin you will find a designated parking space. Please be careful on outside decking when approaching the main door as it can be slippery in wet weather.

bedding, towels and housekeeping

Lodges are self catered and bedding and a bath towel are supplied fresh at the start of your stay. We recommend bringing your own towels also. We can provide you with a fresh bedding set/towel refresh during your stay via booking only, email reception@fingleglen.co.uk to arrange this.

Heating/hot water

Heating is generated with electric radiators and can be switched on/off as needed. We use smaller eco boilers for hot water, and as such they can run out of hot water after running for around 1-3 quick showers or a full bath. They do reheat fairly quickly in around 15/20 minutes, so please be aware of this and be patient if they do run out. The bathroom towel rail switch is on the bottom right hand side of the towel rail and the main cut off switch is in the corridor.

rubbish/recycling

Large red bins are located in the car park to dispose of any rubbish throughout your stay. There are general waste bins and recycling bins, so please use these accordingly. We’d appreciate if you popped your rubbish in the bin before departure.

appliances

We provide each log cabin with a wide range of appliances and equipment. Leaflets and guides on how to use these can be found in the drawer in the kitchen. If there are any missing items please report this at the clubhouse so we can replace these. We’d much rather you let us know this at the beginning of your stay rather than the end so we can help resolve it before it affects your stay. The oven decals have worn off over time unfortunately, however instructions can be found in the drawer as mentioned or on this online link (https://digitalassets-cdn.thron.com/api/v1/content-delivery/shares/ivq4cm/contents/do-ebfc7db7-2be1-490b-b05b-2e76e3f1bf41/pdf/19503639304_UK.pdf). To use the fan oven, do not move the knob on the right as this is already set to fan, and then move the knob on the left to around a 7 o’clock position for 180 degrees.

Noise

Fingle Glen is very a peaceful place, however that does mean noise can travel very fast! Please be respectful to other guests and keep noise to a minimum in the late evenings. If you are having any issues with other guests please let a member of the team know so we can help resolve this for you.

Bar/coffee shop OPening hours

The clubhouse bar and coffee shop 688 ‘Greens’ is open serving coffee, beer, wine, spirits, hot toasties and bakery items every day so do feel free to pop in any time. The opening hours are Monday 8.00am to 6.00pm, Tuesday 8.00am to 10.00pm (join for bingo in the evening if you’d like to!), Wednesday to Saturday 8.00am to 7.00pm and Sunday 8.00am - 5.00pm.

Wi-fi

Wi-Fi is not available in the lodges but is available for free in the clubhouse. The 4G signal is very good so you can hotspot devices from your phone if needed.
